Dimeji, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the True Love cover. The both look nice. I know it is your opinion but it would be nice to know why True Love looks bad...

Dimeji its good to see your health has improved. Do you still write for Genevieve? I sure hope that new editor they're looking to hire influences the look of the magazine, because the covers are always lacking the necessary umph. Both publications aren't that innovative when it comes to their covers though.

I love the top BAP has on, but I thought the abortion belt fad was over already, shoot I hope so, personally tired of seeing people wearing them and being eyesores.

Hmm Bella, my sources tell me you're going hollywood on us... :) good luck o.

@Tope-You're right, it's simply my opinion. But if you look closely, you will understand what i mean. I am also a fan of true love, but they didnt quite get it this month. The styling is poor and the cover looks doll compared to the Genevieve cover, I have no problem with the cover girl, its just the styling and the attitude(you dont have to agree as this is simply my opinion). Cheers and God bless

@Kpakpando-Yes I am healthy now. Recovered months back. And i left Genevieve last year October. And I also agree with you about Genevieve lacking in those aspects you mentioned. I am Genevieve's biggest critic and Mrs Irabor knows it. I believe and hope Gmag does something about it soon. Ok thats it...let me not take over Bella's blog...lol

ok 1st abt the true love cover...
I feel dimeji, i think it looks the colour washed out differnt clothing may have done it. wats d green on green?

then... am loving the Tae collection, its possible one of the most creative pieces I ve seen out of naija in recent time esp. the bags.
am tired of seeing fashion pirates(copy and paste) that call themselves designers in naija, its getting highly irritating.

The true love magazine cover is okay, however, it’s just too busy to the eye they need to reduce the amount of lettering crowded on the cover and save something for the body of the magazine. On the other hand, I prefer their choice of model photo selection this month to Genevieve’s. Genevieve’s cover girl would have looked better if she had dressed a little bit more chic.

Bella nice work again, I like Tae’s shop interior design, very organized and elegant unlike most that I see.

For the very first time i actually bought Genevieve immediately i saw it cos of the cover,it normally takes me a week after it has been on the stands to get a copy. This month was fab very impressive.

As for TL,they are just stagnant. The copy on the page is a bit too much.

Tuface may have not been nominated for the Mobo Best African Act because his full album is not yet in the market. What he has in release so far is like a tester. What he called a half album. I am not sure is because of his track record with the ladies. I am not sure that the organisers get personal like that as every one has their own skeletons in their cupboards....if you know what i mean. He is still a great musician though....still has his powerful voice doing wonders for him.

BTW.....the Tae designs are cuuuuuute....she will go a looooong way. Trust me. Her originality speaks for her. The interior of the store speaks class. I can just about hear it calling me...lol

Obviously i am the onbely one that thinks Genevieve took a pretty Bolanle Austen Peters and copmpletely vanished her beauty and scrunched her up.

The True Love cover? Someone just need to tell them that these bimbo eruptions that they place on cover are just turning people OFF!

Waffarian said...

Both covers are dry jare! I don't think the Genevieve cover is better in anyway. They both need to get creative.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments but just to set the record straight, that is NOT the interior of my store (i wish!!)! Those pictures are from an exhibition I had at the gallery at Terra Kulture.

Please keep the comments coming though, i'd really like to know what you guys think.

Thanks!
