MONDAY LUV

Hi!!!!
How are you all doing? Hope you had a great weekend.
I kinda wish my weekend didnt have to end! I really need a long holiday.
So I spent the weekend over with one of my best friends and on saturday morning she dragged me to the gym with her! I honestly dont know who sent me to do weightercise class with her. It basically involves carrying weights while exercising! Seriously my whole body hurts! I can barely move.
Was a very fun weekend tho.

Seems we were blogging at the same time! It's really 9ice (oops,I mean nice)to have many Naija acts getting international acclaim (KSA,Femi Kuti,TuFace,D'Banj,Asa,P Square,9ice...).But think the old skool costume stuff is something else;only a mind like Tee A's could manufacture that!

Nice!!! The old school outfits were kinda monotonous, everyone had afros only. but it's a nice idea, lol.

In fact 9ice' sudden rise to stardom shows the sky is not the limit.Infact he's acclaimed winning the grammy and buying a bentley is a prophecy yet to be fulfilled. I was thrilled and extremely proud of him...Again for the fact that he sang Gongo aso shows that he appreciates culture and that culture he is extending to the world and for those who were present or who watched it on youtube it was conspicous on how those present wriggled their waists to the beats...lol.. Also he said God bless you, i was so happy he gappreciated God. Congrats Toni on the baby on the way.

Great post belle.

Im sorry but I couldn't bear to watch 9ice performance after 5 seconds of him singing.. Its just weird cuz of the type of pple at that concert. They were all just looking at him.. I mean im really proud of him for making it this far though...

The old skool pictures were high-larious...

Excellent! I am so happy for Nice...and yall don't mind June talking about N ice. Lol

Toni Payne, something to pass on to Nice, I don't know what kind of exercise routine he already has but tell him to get into running either locally or on the threadmill daily if possible. Running and singing at the same time will build up his stamina for live performances. I say this because, if you listen carefully, he breathing wasn't quite right and he was struggling to catch his breath at the end of the longer sentences. But good performance otherwise. He reps Naija!!!

I love Nelson Mandela and you Bella are on fire.

Nice one for 9ice!
I was tickled by the fact that he got such an opportunity to show the world his talent. However i wasnt impressed with the vocals.I didnt feel it at all.Why couldnt he get back up singers who actually knew the songs not some people who just learnt it!!!

All in all i wish him the best

Well, una sorry oh, but I must talk true. They showed this event twice on public television and even though I was happy that we had a representative there...I no go lie, I was disappointed...this was a huge chance and opportunity and he blew it. That performance sucked big time. Ndo, I know say all of us dey root for our people, we thank God but I no fit lie...it was quite bad.

Eeyah, was happy for 9ice too. And kinda liked the effect when the Yoruba talking drum met the English trumpet!

i heard he was a bit shy. big crowd. he tried jo and he looked very good. im proud he was there.

but honestly a lot of naija performers dont really put anything creative into live delivery because once a song is hot everyone just sings along anyway. so performing to a crowd thats never heard the song is very tough.
