Anyway, let’s kick off the week with someone I admire a great deal…
Funmi Iyanda is often referred to as Nigeria’s Oprah…
Vivacious and bold, Funmi is really an inspiration…
I have admired her for a while and have observed her meteoric rise…
Funmi hosts a very popular morning show in Nigeria – ‘New Dawn with Funmi’…an entertaining and educative talk show…
Anyway, check out this cover feature from Sleek Magazine.
Sleek is a fab new Nigerian lifestyle magazine…
I LUV it and really hope they can keep it up!
Anyways, ENJOY!

Oh dear. I am afraid this is one area where we disagree. Cannot stand her and i think that comparing her to Oprah is the biggest sign of disrespect there is. I am not a fan at all. Her half naked dressing at some occassions irritates me. Maybe i am just really conservative.

Hey...Smoothvibes sent me this link and I must say I am very proud of her. She is an amazing spirit and a wealth of information. I have mad respect and admiration for her. I have forwarded this link to her and I am sure she will be flattered. She is not Oprah or Tyra she is Funmi Iyanda and her name will be remembered generations to come.

I absolutely adore Funmi Iyanda. She continues to expand beyond the definitions I try to come up with, and this is a good thing ... hmm, the best thing in the world, actually.
There are no boxes provided for people that are larger than life.
They create them for themselves.
And so Funmi Iyanda is Funmi Iyanda.
Doesn't my love just shine through? lol.
Comment;
The pictures are fabulous. She is.
And this website is pretty cool altogether.
Loving it xxx

Apart from being humanitarian, I adore the fact that Funmi Iyanda represents naija.... she does not speak with any stupid accent so she successfully endears herself to all nigerians.
BTW Bella - I hate yr blog.. I m spending billable hours reading it... I started from the very 1st post and I m still at Oct '06. The fact that it is very colorful and has tons of photos does not help matters... A quick look at my screen will show that I m not doing any serious work. Hats off to u.

Aliko Dangote Quotes
"I can remember when I was in primary school, I would go and buy cartons of sweets and I would start selling them just to make money. I was so much interested in business. Even at that time, I was very used to buying and selling. It is in my mind all through. I did that on a part-time basis. I usually bought packets of sweets and gave some people to sell for me. I would join them whenever I closed from school. I would collect my profit and give them something out of it. And we continued like that,

"The family had many servants. So, some of them were selling things. I would say, 'Please, sell these for me' and he would sell and render accounts afterwards. That was what I was doing. It was not as if I established shops."

"If you give me today $5 billion, I will not invest any abroad, I will invest everything here in Nigeria. Let us put heads together and work."

"{Nigerians} can even be bigger than Aliko Dangote. The whole thing is that you have to really be very determined. You have to believe that, yes, there’s a future in this country of ours and I can tell you right now, I don’t believe we have even started doing anything in Nigeria because the opportunities are so enormous. I don’t even know where to start from.
