WOULD YOU CONFESS?

Hi Everyone,
How is your week going?
Mine is going ok so far, its such a pain working again after such a long break!
Here I've come again with my questions.
I cant go into too much detail about the background of this but here goes.
Someone I know cheated while dating her bf, long story about the circumstances of the cheating. Anyways, her bf was very angry and even broke up with her.
Then he thought about it and prayed about it (according to him...)
He then forgave her and some years later got married.
The thing is now that they are married, he brings up what she did all the time. As in he uses it to justify everything that he does wrong and obviously that is putting a huge strain on the relationship.

So....

Ladies, would you confess to your boyfriend/fiance/husband if you cheated?

Fine, I know many might say 'hell no' but what if there was a chance that he could find out. Would you not prefer for him to hear it from you? Perhaps, it happened when you were dating, wouldn't you like to know his reaction then when a breakup is easier as opposed to when you guys get married?
Or do you subscribe to the philosophy of 'what you dont know, wont hurt you'?

Guys also let us know what you would do if you found out your girl cheated. Is there any possibility that you would forgive her?

Looking forward to your responses!!!!

THE BN RUNDOWN

Hello Everyone,
I'm not going to say too much about all the tidbits I have for you.
Just read and enjoy.
Here is the RUNDOWN!!!!

________________________________________________
A huge congrats to Dare and Deola Art-Alade! Deola recently delivered their first child, a bouncing baby boy in the UK on Friday, December 28, 2007. By the way, Dare's eagerly anticipated new album, unDAREted will be coming out sometime soon. I have heard several cuts from the album and I have to say I was sooo impressed. I like the depth and variety of the songs. The video for the 1st single, 'With This Woman' has been doing very well and has been a stable on the MTVBase Africa Top 10 Chart for some weeks. Wishing Dare, Deola and baby all the best in '08.

As you have probably heard, Tuface and his baby mama #1 Pero Adeniyi are expecting his 3rd child. Their first child together is a cute little girl called Rose (named after Tuface's mum). Pero also has another child from her first marriage while Tuface has another child named Nino with ex-girlfriend Sunmbo. Hmm...no comment.

Most people who read the Nigerian newspapers on New Year's Day were shocked by the headlines which recounted the shooting of over 20 people by militants in Port Harcourt, Nigeria during the early hours of 2008. Many died but one of those who survived was West African Idols winner, Timi Dakolo. He was shot in the head as he was driving away from the Presidential Hotel where he and some other entertainment personalities had performed. According to reports, he was not the target of the attack and is presently recuperating well in a private hospital.
Its so sad! I hope he recovers soon. Get well Timi!

Random news but hey...
Nigerian rapper and First Lady of Storm Records, Sasha has undergone a name change from Sasha to Sasha P (...The P is for Persona right?)
We are not sure what inspired this name change but if Diddy can go from Puff Daddy to Puffy to P Diddy to Diddy to Sean Combs...then why cant Sasha add a P?
I'm luvin' her new album by the way.

Celebrity Takes 2 Contestant and Musician, Nomoreloss (Olumuyiwa Adeyemi Oshinuga) is allegedly engaged to his girlfriend, Rhythm 93.7 radio DJ, Phoenix Child (Adeola Ogunriola). Congrats to the couple.

I just realized that I never said congrats to Funlola on her Celebrity Takes 2 win.
The actress/media personality/entrepreneur received an SUV (Not sure what brand but NOT a Hummer as was announced during the show finale). She also received a cash prize from Skye Bank. The stunning 30-something year old Funlola is reportedly engaged and was spotted wearing an engagement ring during the last few episodes of the show. Congrats to Funlola on everything. I love her resilience and drive.

P-Square's Peter and Paul Okoye along with their brother, Jude and UK-Nigerian rapper, Alaye survived a rough car crash on the 26th of December 2007. They were on their way from Port Harcourt to Owerri when the accident occured. Luckily they escaped with minor injuries. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries but is presently undergoing treatment. P-Square still managed to perform their scheduled shows after the incident including a massive concert in Zambia. They'll be holding a thanksgiving ceremony soon.

There seems to be no love lost between Omotola and the organizers and judges of Celebrity Takes 2. She has accused the judges of being nasty and stated that the show was disorganized while the organizers has stated that Omotola showed poor sportsmanship. See this interview for more details. I know some will disagree but I think Omotola did well on the show, not because she was the best dancer but because she gave it a try despite her crazy schedule. Oh well, I hope they can sort out their differences.

Congrats to fast-rising Nigerian musician/producer, 9ice and fiance, entrepreneur Toni Payne. The pair recently announced their engagement. 9ice who is oft called the 'Nigerian Akon' has one of the hottest songs on Nigerian radio right now. The song called 'Gongo Aso' will be included on his new album entitled 'Street Credibility' and the video will be shot by music video director extraordinaire, DJ Tee. All the best to the couple!

Oh I should have mentioned this a few months ago when it happened but better late than never. Eldee got engaged to his longtime girlfriend a lil' while back. Congrats to him! Sure the wedding will be fab & all the best with the marriage. Eldee's album 'Return of the King' which was released internationally in 2007 will allegedly be relaunched in Nigeria in 2008.

I'm sure you've heard the Eedris Abdulkareem, the Nigerian rapper and former member of the Remedies apologized to American HipHop star, 50 Cent during the KORA Awards media presentation in Abuja in December. If you can remember, 50 and Eedris had an altercation aboard a plane some years ago when 50 visited the country to perform. After the incident, 50 fled Nigeria thus missing out on the last leg of his scheduled Nigerian concerts. This therefore resulted in losses and embarrassment for the sponsors and organizers of the event. At that time, Eedris was so proud of his misbehaviour that he boldly spoke about it and went as far as releasing a 'diss track' aimed at 50. Eedris' career nosedived after the incident and all this led to his apology. You can watch the video below. Fast forward to the last couple of seconds...
Well it seems like someone is eating humble pie!

THE BELLANAIJA HOTLIST III

Hey Everyone!!!!!!!
I can’t believe that it’s been so long!
I have MISSED u guys…I mean it…sincerely
Honestly sometimes, I would just get this feeling….u know the type of feeling u get when u r missing a good friend…yeah…but then I realized, I missed blogging, as in, I missed u guys!
All the comments and craziness! The whole shebang.
But I just had to take a break.
Work was exhausting me, and then having to stay up late at night to blog was just too much.
Plus I hadn’t had a real holiday in about 2 years so I just needed a break and I got one.
It was amazing!
I had a fab time with my family and friends.
Spending time with them made me love them even more….
When I was in uni, I used to go to Nigeria every summer and xmas - during that time, I would go out nearly everyday. There was even a holiday that I spent in naij that I saw my Dad once in the 3 weeks that I was there!
I guess with age and wisdom, priorities change because I made sure I spent enough time with my family (u know I still went out tho….just a lil lol)
Anyways, I am back and thankful to u guys for being so patient.
2008 will be a fabulous year for us all!
All our dreams, aspirations and plans for the year will come to fruition AMEN.
Meanwhile, my ears are bleeding from all the salacious gist my friends have been giving me about their holidays…..Hmmm all of u should start confessing. Who engaged in some Lagos holiday romance….hhaha
You know u did, spot hiding your face from the computer…I see u! lol
Well, I hope you enjoyed yourself because sorry to break it to you, chances are it wont work.
Naaa I’m just being mean, ok…it might work.
How about all the weddings? I don’t know if it’s the age that we are at but people seem to be getting married at an alarming rate. I might join them soon hmmmm
Anyway, enough of my musing!
This year will be AMAZING by God’s grace.
I have compiled a BellaNaija Hot List to kick things off for the New Year.
Don’t worry, juicier things are on the way. MUAH!

The IT Girl - Dakore EgbusonFrom her ever blossoming movie career to her recent multi-million naira Amstel Malta endorsement to her high-profile yet still intact relationship with Lou Akande. Dakore has proved herself to be a star. She has grown from strength to strength and if definitely the IT girl of the moment. Up next? there has been talk of a music career...hmmm...we'll see but we are confident that Dakore can pull it off.

The Spot - Volar Ok, if you were in Lagos over the last month, you must be familiar with the name Volar. Great crowd, lush interior....luv it! Lets just hope it lasts in the fickle world of Lagos nightlife.

The Hit - Yahooze & Do Me

Remind me, how old is this song? Yet everytime people hear it, they just cant help themselves. That is the power of Olu Maintain's megahit, Yahooze.
From young to old, rich to not-so-rich, everyone cant get enough of the Yahooooze fever. Now if only we could figure out what kamakaze on a kendro level means?!
How could I forget P-Square's Do Me? After their success with 'Bizzy Body', few expected that P-Square would unleash another megahit so soon. I lovvvve this song. One dude was trying to convince me that this song is about female empowerment....as in what a man can do, a woman can do.....rightt! lol

The New Kid - Shank

The song goes - Julie! Say man hear say you a model and ting....Julie! Me love the way you shake that booty and ting.
This song is SICK! I literally cannot sit still when I hear it. Chinedu Naze better known as Shank is the New Kid. The first artist from Starville Entertainment....
All we hope is that Shank keeps lacing the hot tunes and we'll keep shaking that booty & ting.

The Read - The Mrs. Club & A Woman Scorned I love Chick Lit!!! Other than magazines and chick-lit,I hardly ever read anything else....sorry but that's the truth. So when I discovered Ekene Onu's 'The Mrs Club' via snippets from her blog some months ago, I was HOOKED. Check out the book's facebook group for more info. The book is totally relateable and a definite must read. Another 'Hot Read' is Bimbylads' 'A Woman Scorned'.....If you aren't hooked, please report to her immediately and read up! Tres juicy!

The Movement - TED Africa TED is a movement! If you havent heard about it....you better pinch yourself and run over to ted.com and get with the programme.
The world's greatest thinkers (including you and me), getting together, exchanging ideas for a better present and future. I am proud of the fact that I was a TEDAfrica fellow last year and gain inspiration from other TEDizens daily! Come join us.

The Man - Toyin Subair Lawyer (Abraham & Co), Humanitarian (Link-A-Child), Entrepreneur (Hi-TV). Toyin Subair has come a long way over the years!
According to Toyin, he was 'jumping' buses less than a decade ago. He is now the CEO of Hi-TV which won a tough battle with DSTV for the right to air UK Premier league matches live in Nigeria. Inspiring? Without a doubt! Toyin is the man!

The Woman - TY Bello

TY Bello. Photographer, Makeup Artist, Film Director, Musician (Dont you just love Greenland?), Mother to be?. Nuff Said. TY is the woman!

The Look - Folake Folarin

When Tiffany Amber's Folake Coker decided to create a new more exclusive line, many were not sure what to expect. What she came up with a line of gorgeous dresses with figure flattering cuts in extra luxe jewel-toned fabrics. Fab.

The Mag - SLEEK Magazine

SLEEK magazine has been around for over a year. Not many expected it to survive when it entered the crowded Nigerian magazine market. SLEEK has definitely proved detractors wrong by blossoming to a world class mag. From the stunning MOMO Couture photo spreads to the in depth interviews, this mag is definitely one to read.

The Show - Deal or No Deal NigeriaYes I admit that I find John Fashanu's accent annoying. There I said it! I know its real and all that but I just don't like the way he sounds. That said, with the Deal or No Deal Nigeria models and enthusiastic contestants this imported game show is engaging to watch. I admit that the fun of the show is tinged with quite a bit of schadenfreude as you watch the contestants lose thousands of dollars because they overestimated their lucky streaks. Anyways, this show deserves a place on the hot list.

The Rising Star - ISISSilverbird TV's Entertainment Weekly presenter, ISIS has been heating up the small screen with her show ever since it launched about a year ago. Anyone watching can spot her star quality and she was been commended for her chatty interview style and natural screen presence. Rising star, ISIS deserves a place on our hot list.

The Event - The Future Awards...

2 years after the kickoff ceremony, the Future Awards is still gaining momentum. It has gained more credibility and celebrity support. With the 3rd edition coming up this weekend, the Future Awards 2008 is set to be HOT!

WEEKEND LUV - THE MADE EDITION

Hey Everyone!!!
You don’t even know how bad I feel that I haven’t been blogging!
Whenever I haven’t blogged for a while, I start avoiding my blog like the plague…as if someone is going to catch me here and askme why I haven’t blogged lol!
Meanwhile, can you believe that it is basically December???
Amazing. Isnt it?
This year has been like a rollercoaster….I don’t even know how to explain it. I just thank God for all his blessings.
Happy Birthday to my Mum!!
Her birthday was a couple of days ago…I wish I could put her pic up cause she’s sooooo gorgeous! For real!
I am going on holiday soon. I totally need a break! I haven’t had a real break in about 2 years. Honestly, I cant wait to sleep in until midday!
Anyways, this is Weekend Luv.

CLICKS & FLICKS
Mo Abudu, HR Consultant and Hotelier launched a TV talk show on MNET at the beginning of the month. The show is very professional in terms of the set etc.. and the choice of guests is quite stellar. I admire Mo sooooo much and wish her the best of luck. She held a launch event for the show some weeks ago and Angie Stone performed. See photos below.
Read an excellent review of the show - HERE

Kunle Afolayan is the latest celebrity that has voted off Celebrity Takes 2.
Have you guys been watching? I actually love this show…yes, there are some things that could be improved, especially the DANCING but I still find it very entertaining.

BBA2 Runner-Up Ofunneka has denied being assaulted by Richard in the BBA House. She said she was intoxicated and regrets her actions but does not blame Richard. Hmmm…I disagree but she has said her piece.

RANDOMNESS + K2C

Hi Everyone!!
Sorry, I haven’t been on here all week.
There are sooo many things going on at the moment but I am never too busy for y’all.
Hope u guys are having a great week.
Mine has been interesting so far. Nada tres exciting but interesting enough!
My weekend was fab though.
I’m feeling very random today so I think I spread this randomness by sharing some random bits…y’all should do the same!

I’ll start with what happened this weekend…
So on Saturday, I was walking up my street, so a car passes me, pauses for a brief second and then moves…
I thought nothing of it.
Couple of minutes later, I’m on an adjacent street and the same car is now beside me and the driver parks…
I quickly picked up my pace…as in one can’t be too careful!
The driver of the car says hello and I turn around to see if it was someone I know
It wasn’t! Sooo I was just about to keep going when I noticed that there was a child in the backseat
The driver of the car, a middle-aged African man kept calling out and of course I normally wouldn’t even respond but because there was a child in the back, I thought maybe they were lost or something…
So I take a couple of steps back and dude is like ‘hello, you are pretty, do you want a ride blah blah blah’
I was just looking at the dude in shock
As in he has his child in the car oooo and he is trying to chat me up!
Next thing, dude is like ‘ohhhh you see my son…he is very cute right…his name is lesley'
I swear all through this I couldn’t even talk…he was even introducing me to the child...as per future step mother or what lol!
I sharply said ‘Have a good day’ and went about my jolly way.
I hope that child is old enough (he looked about 3 years old) to give his mum the gist.
Jesus take the wheel!

On to other randomness:
- I don’t like, love, fancy or ‘have a crush on’ anyone at the moment
- I’m not sure how I feel about that
- I am obsessed with this song (well it’s not really even a song….its an interlude)…’I Think That She Knows’…it gets me every time…don’t know why
- I broke up with my man about a month ago
- Did anyone guess? I bet you didn’t
- I still think he is an amazing person though
- But…
- Anyways
- I havent read the comments from the last post
- I'm not sure if I want to
- I'm soo happy that I know who my friends are
- I love them
- They exemplify women that inspire
- I'm sooo proud
- I’m looking hot today
- Lol…I’m serious
- I’m wearing a black high waist pencil skirt, a coral top and a camel-tone belt
- I’ve got some 4-inch heels on. I love them! Bought them a year ago…they hurt soooo bad in the store but I still bought them but never wore them until today
- My feet aren’t hurting…yet
- That’s it!

Here is the actual post I was going to put up before I got sidetracked!
The Kulture2Couture event ran all through the weekend at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London this past weekend.
This annual event celebrates designers of black origin.
It had a dual purpose this year as it also served as a Fashion for Food – Catwalk the World event.
Damon Dash, Naomi Campbell, Ozwald Boateng & Keno attended the opening night.
Designers including Yemi O by Kosibah, Adebayo Jones, Deola Sagoe, Patrick Kevin, Tina Atiemo, Stoned Cherrie, Nkwo and Zed-Eye all showed their fab collections. Check out some pics below:
My absolute favs were
Yemi O by Kosibah – The cut and corseting of the clothes…art in motion
Stoned Cherrie – Rich and full of heritage
Zed-Eye – I would actually wear her stuff – electric and fab
Deola Sagoe – Need I say more?
Tina Atiemo – Brought the DRAMA
Adebayo Jones – Classic and timeless

Thanks to Getty Images and Din of London for the pics

That's it! Tell us something random
Have a fab day.....
Spread the love...MUAH
