Hey Everyone,
I’m sooooo excited! My internet is back up…I thought I was going to pass out with no internet but I survived! I don’t even know what was wrong; they just said it was a hardware problem…Oh well, as long as it’s fixed.
So how was your weekend? What did you get up to?
Mine was fun, very chilled....Went for a friend's b-day dinner on Sat. Night.....actually had a fun time.
BTW, It was Mother’s Day yesterday, so Happy Mothers Day in arrears to all our mothers and all the future mothers.
(I know the Nigerian/UK Mother’s Day was in March tho)
Anyways, the Miss Universe pageant is here again and finals will be taking place in Mexico City, Mexico on the 28th of May 2007.
Nigeria’s representative was the last contestant to arrive, 2 weeks later than most of the other contestants. Hope it doesn’t affect her performance.
Well, here is a glimpse of the African representatives at the pageant.

What do you think of Ebinabo, Miss Nigeria (MBGN) Universe? Who is your fav African beauty queen? Why did Ghana, Ethiopia, Namibia etc.. not send contestants to this year's competition? Let us know.
Have a great week!
I AM FIRST!
ReplyDeleteok now that i have claimed my spot, i would like to thank my parents for sending me to school,i would like to thank Raze, the wireless network i am tapping into...so many more,so little time.sigh!lol. those girls r hawt!
ReplyDeleteClaiming number 3 spot! :)
ReplyDeleteUmmm Zambia and Angola for sure! Sorry Nigeria doesnt stand a chance this year! Her makeup in the last pictures was not on @ all!!!
LOL @ ~mimi~...I so so love u...
ReplyDeleteAnyways to be honest besides Miss World....I cant be asked with all these other pagents...but down to the koko of the matter...don't think Miss Nigeria stands a chance...really what was she doing for the 2-weeks that she missed...visa issues??..make up lessons that have evidently gone wrong???...ANSWERS PLS EBINABO...with the very funky surname.
The others are just there except Miss Angola who seems to have a better chance of going further than the others...Fine Chic
Egypt and SA look very common,regualar,barbie-like...not much to them.
yaaaaaaaaaay, i'm 5th . i bera post this comment fast b4 somebori comes to steal my position!lol.
ReplyDeleteoya, as for ebinabo, i think she's aight, she was late probably bcos of visa issues, u sha know how naijas do, they can fuck things up atimes.
The other girls are not too bad either, but u never shld judge by their looks o, the brain is what counts........well i suppose.
hmn, i wonder why ghana and co dont hav contestants................but seriously i'm quite vexed at the way ur numba1 fan told nigeria offo, not a good spirit at all.:)
top five yippee!
ReplyDeleteps did the baby oil finish before they could get to miss nigeria? dunno why but she looks more tame that the rest of the guys?
ps so hunger is now accepted as miss universe as well! miss SA, Zambia n Tanzania are all very bony, its all a bit worrying...feed the contestants!
ebinabo is pretty but how come she doesnt have a hot sultry picture like everyone else....?
ReplyDeleteanyway, im a new blogger. please check my blog out.
thanks. xxx
the angolan chic is a HOTTIEEE!!. i would pick her first before the Naija chic.
ReplyDeleteNice Blog... keep it up
the angolan chick any day. she's is Hot.
ReplyDeletenice blog bella. first time leaving a comment.
Top ten!!!!!
ReplyDeletevisa issues to Mexico? kai naija don suffa for real :( But Iheard she was just now sponsored to attend Ms. Universe by Bayelsa state government. hmmm. Yah I maintain that Agbani was a fluke with the Miss world thing, because Nigeria doesn't prepare their reps for the world stage, usually some unpolished rough around the edges girl with k leg weave representing naija. Hard to compete with some contestants from serious pageant countries like Venezuela, who give all sorts of "beauty prep treatments" to their reps from day one. Sha good luck to the all of the contestants, I love watching Ms. Universe... but what's up with these playboy-esque bikini shots?
ReplyDeletei Like Ms Tanzania but Ms Angola is Hawt!!!!!!!!!! and hmmmm Ms naija...no comment
ReplyDelete*sigh* i see colonial mentality inspired comments everywhere. IF Miss world is going to be chosen from Africa, the only girls remotely eligle are Miss Nigeria and Miss Tanzania. Miss Angola is pretty, no doubt, but she looks like your average biracial chic. There's nothing that stands out about her.
ReplyDeleteSassyCassie
Abeg which wan be 'Potts-Johnson'?...Real funky surname. Na wa o! lol...
ReplyDeleteWell, since we're talking abt fav African Beauty Queen, its got to be d Tanzanian. She's got really nice features.
The Angolan chic is just pretty. The 9ja chic is ok,looks regular, nothing particularly striking but i'l root 4her anyway. Guess we'l hv 2kp our fingers crossed & c how it goes.
BTW, this might sound silly,I'l like to start a blog but don't knw what 2cal it. Pls leave any suggestions here. Bella u're my girl,i hope u don't mind. Help a sister! B.
MISSS TANZANIA RAWKKKKKSSS ABEGIII THATS THE HOTTEST CHICK ON THERE AHN AHN KILODAY?
ReplyDeleteAm going for Ms Angola and Ms Naija-they're HAWT!!!
ReplyDeleteAgree with kpakpando – what’s with the raunchy photos – make it look like playmate of the year auditions with smaller boobs.
ReplyDeleteGuessing Ebinabo has no bikini shots because she was late - what’s with that? – we can be so shameful! hope she has great people skills to help with the prelims.
Saw the Tanzanian girl on Studio 53 last week and she doesn’t speak very good English so I guess that reduces the African chances cuz she’s by far the hottest.
Bella, been stalking your page for the last coupla days. You are doing something great!!!
Wish all the African girls the best.
miss zambia is worryingly thin... you can see her ribs in the third picture.
ReplyDeletemaybe this size zero debate should also enter the pagent world...
the Naija one has no chance whatsoever...She's almost forgetful..Makeup is terriblly WRONG..teh Angolian chic is hot ..sha is she BLACK
ReplyDeletesassycassie is point on! Everybody else who says Miss Tanzania KNOW wot they're talking about. All the others are regular fine girls. U need that extra "smthing" and for me, Miss Tanzania is the one with it. She werks for me (sorry Nana).
ReplyDeleteMiss Nigeria is not bad and I think ,iss Angola is quite beautiful. Goodluck to them sha
ReplyDeleteim sorry to be all unpatriotic nd stuff... but am nt a fan of the naija babe atall atall, dnt think she is gonna win atall atall...but i wish her luck sha!!!! neway i love miss Tanzania....she has the 'it look' goin on.
ReplyDeletemiss tanzania is the only one i really like
ReplyDeletenigeria continues to dissapoint
there were much better girls at MBGN 2007 than Ebinabo and our 2007 world contestant. soooo dissapointing
i think the naija girl is really ggod, the tanzanian girl is nice too, but hey straight up nigerian. xxxx
ReplyDeleteDat Miss Angola is pretty but she gats some fake boobs on her...... (last pic), for dat I'll disqualify her as a judge. U gats to be Natural, anyways so the crown can go to Miss Nigeria. Cheers
ReplyDeletems tanzania is HAWT... a lil bit too skinny tho, (lol me ma self im a little bit too skinny)
ReplyDeletelol the rest of them are jus normal
the worst has to be ms south africa...wtf were those ppl thinking ehhe
as for angola and the other baby oil chick, they are just fine, one of them even only looks god in her baby oil pic, the other picchas no gree for her lol
hawt post as usual.all d girls are hawt!
ReplyDeleteim mad that a White girl has to represent South Africa !!! I know darn well they wont have a Black girl be Miss Italy, or Miss Germany..
ReplyDeleteWhatever..
On the other hand, Tanzania is really pretty..
I'm not trying to be mean or anything but Miss Nigeria does not stand a chance...unless her personality overshadows her beauty.
ReplyDeleteExcuse you all people. i fully support miss nigeria. i think she's unique. besides, she has in abundance, one of the greatest weapons desired so much by some hollywood women & glamour girls. However, i do pray she does not have a strong accent.
ReplyDeleteI love Miss Zambia & Tanzia.
I have no comments about the rest
They are all beautiful but in very different ways. When it comes to these things, it is not only about looks. Your intelligence and personality is also important, as well as good spoken English.
ReplyDeleteMs. Tanznia is simply STUNNING! Her bikini shot is worthy of Vogue and Sports Illustrated. She is leggy and drop dead gorgeous. Only a truly beautiful woman can pull off a bald head. Most people look like crap without hair. So, this chic gets my vote any day.
ReplyDeleteMost African or Black contestants wear a weave, but Ms. Tanzania is stepping out with a baldie and looks mad good doing it.
Ms. Naija is what I call basic pretty, but not stunning. She doesn't have the IT factor.
Ms. Angola is pretty and she shouldn't be disparaged b/c she is biracial or mixed. With that aside, she too lacks the IT factor. Her breast job is too obvious. Her hair is nice.
As for the other chicks...give me a break.
Dang!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice Tanzania's legs?
Where is my stationary bike and treadmill?
Well! They are all cute and and all. Why am i not as stunning as these chicks? What the hell? Good luck to them all. I will admit that i still love pageants...Love them...When will this air?
ReplyDeleteWow, that girl from Tanzania has definitely got my vote, Unfortunately as much as I don't want to, Nigeria comes last
ReplyDeleteSuby
P.s
Can you holla at me, would love to have a chat with you. Have a couple of Ideas you may be able to help with :)
Miss SA has a great figure but miss Angola has it all.The Nigerian rep is even more beautiful than I thought. Goodluck to all of them.
ReplyDeletei think miss tanzania absolutely rawks...ebinabo's pictures are quite bland and she looks quite ordinary compared to the rest.
ReplyDeleteI think it WILL effect them - heavily. Because they missed out the chances of showcasing themselves in earlier events and all.
ReplyDeleteThey missed out on the publicity and news coverage. They missed out on experiancing smaller events which prepare them for the BIG day.
And that's just the top 3 things that are going to cost them heavily. There are many other tiny stuff that they missed out on that'll make a big difference.
Still - I hope they win :-)
Angelina naaww, who is THEY? I am reading ur your comment a lil bewildered & wondering if ur comment is related to d post. lol. anyway dont mind me jare. Abeg all these girls are beautiful, who are we to stand and "judge" them. Some people hiding behind compurra screen with tire roll bellys talkin' bout she is not beautiful enough or her shape dis and the other. ZZiiiiPPP! If not show us your own. Lets wait and see the show first. Thats what makes our continent so beautiful, the DIVERSITY and its reflected in these pictures. Beautiful african women. ALL of them in their own unique way.
ReplyDeletehmmm..2 weeks late? We have taken African time to a whole nother level :).
ReplyDeleteDoes she stand a chance? Possibly. Okay- o am so hating they had a fashion photographer shoot for pageant babz?.................., hmmm am str hating yo. lol! AND I WON'T APOLOGIZE FOR IT lol!
Nice post up B.
ha! this lack of support for our naija babe is not good oh!
ReplyDeleteif winning was based on votes are you saying you guys wont vote for her?
i dont think she's bad looking. she just needs to be tooshed (sp) up like the others have.
Areagal you should change your name to ZZZiiiiiiiiiiiiippp!! it queen lol
ReplyDeleteOk i love my country and all and i would vote for Nigeria if it canme to dat but me i go talk true, the Naija babe no just fit at all, maybe its her makeup or something and i know we can do better.
ReplyDeleteCheers everyone and Bella u get to check out my blog o!
Miss Tanzania and Miss Egypt are beautiful! I think a woman's hair often makes her and the fact that miss tanzania has a shaved head and is still so pretty deserves some respect! I think Miss Nigeria is a pretty girl but there are definitely more beautiful girls in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner is....
ReplyDeleteTanzania and Angola would be my vote. but I think Tanzania holds the spot for me. Angola is very pretty, but it's not often you find a babe who can pull off the bald look. And I think she pulls it off splendidly.
jUST FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE, YOU CAN VOTE FOR MS. CONGENIALITY. I HAVE VOTED FOR MS. NIGERIA.
ReplyDeleteVISIT AND VOTE AT -
http://www.nbc.com/Miss_Universe_2007/#
IBINABO CAN DEFINITELY USE OUR SUPPORT
you guys might say alot but the truth is MISS TANZANI is jus amazing...now that is true natural african beauty...from color to face, bold as many of u said not many girls can get aay with a bold head so lets jus suport her and give her our votes...let africa win this time...
ReplyDeletemiss Tanzania's english is not that good, but last yrs miss universe ddnt even speak english so its true she is the best and so she gets my vote
ReplyDelete@ areagirl... Pls stop saying ZZiiiiPPP!!! it is annoying. This is a place to express opinion, if that's not ok with you then keep quiet.. canuck girl
ReplyDeleteAll the girls look great - bet all you haters wish you look like them and the guys wish you had them as your girlfriend. Good luck to Naija
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI actually saw the whole Ms Universe contigent at Cancun Airport, Mexico. this was about a week ago. The missus wanted me to take some pictures but couldnt be bothered. She ended up using the camera and got chatting to Ms Niaja. Funny enough she tried to anglofy saying Yoruba to my missus who promptly corrected her. (my missus is Sri Lankan!)
ReplyDeleteEbi, having looked at the other Africa contestants pics, want u to know dat u would do us proud. Ose Nigeria
ReplyDeleteEbi, go make naija our fathers land proud. No mind these palyer haters. Go on girl go shoow dem wat u made off.
ReplyDeleteDimples u for go rep 9ja for there na as Ebi no stand any chance. bad belle 9ja babe. ur short self n bad mind. Ebi na d gal.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Ms. Nigeria? What happened to her stylist? She was missing to nails and her swimsuit pictures were awful. MMMM, knowing our people, they probably bribed her to come at last minute. I don't think it was a visa issue. She lack grooming.
ReplyDeleteMiss Zambia and Miss Angola were the BEST unless you are blind
ReplyDeletemiss Zambia and miss Angola looked the best
ReplyDeleteI think Angola & Tanzania have striking looks. Tanzania got a beautiful face. Not sure why African people never win, i think it's not having enough exposure to the outside world, many people in europe get to travel and get sponsors etc, but for africans it's difficult. When a girl wins her national pageant there should be funds for her to get beauty pampering tour the world for a few months and get exposure. But also where many of the african contestants fail is in their interviews. Not sure which girl it was maybe angola or zambia, when asked what would you like the judges to know about you, the girl said i suffer from racial abuse for being bi-racial. Basically that doesnt have anything major to do with, everyone suffers from some type of discrimination, but the main focus of the pageant is for a lady to be an ambassador for all countries, all peoples for her to be a role model to the younger generation and to find ways to help reduce problems not arising only in africa but all over the world, espcially discrimination of the female child, the right to education the right to freedom and diversity. What attracts people to africa is not only the people, but the music, the art, the culture, the scenery and so forth.
