KOSIBAH + IDOLS WA FINALE

Hey Everyone,
So how was your weekend? Hope y’all had fun!
Mine was not bad…stayed in on Friday night, went out on Saturday and that was basically it! Nothing super-exciting…
So Idols West Africa has drawn to a close and as most of you know by now, Timi WON!
He walks away with a recording contract from SONY/BMG AFRICA International, a Kia Picanto from Dana Group Nigeria, USD 10 000 from Ecobank and an ultimate viewing prize from Celtel (includes a 26 inch LCD TV, I-Pod and DStv system).
So congrats to him. Below are some vids from the finale.

Timi wins! – The Announcement
Timi’s New Single - "I Love You"
Omawumi’s New Single - "You Got Me" (Her outfit was rather hectic!)
Uche & Jodie's Duet – “You Are Everything”
Timi's road to the finale

Yemi Osunkoya’s Kosibah is one of my favourite labels.
Yemi has been in the business for a very long time. His wedding dresses, eveningwear and formal apparel are exquisite! He is well-known as superb finishing and attention to detail. Kosibah combines classic style with creative flair. Tres fab. Here are some pictures from a recent fashion show courtesy Din of London.
For the Kosibah website, click HERE

So that’s it for today. What do you think of the Idols WA winner, Timi and runner-up, Omawumi. What do you think of their singles and chances of musical success.

How about Kosibah designs? Would you consider one of his creations for your wedding? Let us know. Have a great week. MUAH! Bella.

I can see myself wearing most of these dresses.
Did timi really win,i have never watched the show but on that performance i prefer omawunmi.I wasn't feeling timi at all

I would wear his wedding gowns!

Best Finishing I've ever seen and most original.

My problem with naija designers and tailors is typically that they have good ideas but the seams and the finishing is often sub par.

I'm so glad Timi won...was rooting for him all along. I think his talent is still raw and he still needs a lot of polishing but he has what it takes to be a world class male vocalist 'cos for some reason those are hard to find. Omawunmi is an excellent performer and I beleive she has a sucessfull career ahead of her...so does Timi, obviously most of the voters think so...Hey Bella Did i really make top 5?

'Totally pleased with Timi winning.WOW!Funny how I was rooting for Timi but was skeptical that most voters would choose Omawumi.
Wish them both the best. Timi rocks!!!
Didn't pay much attention to the outfits.Let's say they were a little overshadowed by my 'Timi joy'.

OMG what do my eyes see? I was/am first? *breakdancing*

Timi won? na ojoro jare, whose palm did he grease, nonsense, na Eric win in my eyes jare.

I think Kosibah had the mermaid silhouette and corset top down pat, but anything that strays away from that get as e be. If I could get my body to comply with that particular silhouette, I would totally wear his stuff

Timi won yay!!!!!!!

i dont think Timi should have won at all! i think Omawumi has a better voice, her voice that is lovely to listen to no matter what type of song she is singing. Timis voice is unique yes but i dont enjoy listening to him sing at all! Omawumi is my idol!

Wow,
Considering the fact that this was just 5 hours ago....15 comments...I really need to hurry up with these things.

Well, I'm happy for Timi but I would've loved Omawunmi to win or Eric, but oh!well, I wish him the best.

I'm hella proud of our designers man, we just keep sticking it to them that we truly are a great people

My wedding dress is going to be a toss up between Kosibah and Deola Sagoe..or maybe both. I want a red carper wedding where they say, so who are you wearing.. lol

Per timi, I cant really remember him from the auditions, I actually thot omawunmi was gonna win. She stood out for me since the begining.

DAMN,,im usually such an ice-bitch.BUT timis win brought a tear to my eye(I LIE,i cry small)he comes across as so humble and deserving!wish him all the best!

ive always said IF i do get married,im patronizing one of our own naija/african designers definitely.no vera wang shizzles jo.

and i met kosibah b4(oya everybody off pant)he is very very charming.

Timi really deserved to win. I was at Planet One for the event and if the applause from the crowd was anything to go by, Omawumi could not have won. Timi had stage presence and connected with the crowd. I was glad he won.

Kosibah rocks, trying to get my friends to rock him for their wedding!!!

I am happy Timi won. And Kosibah rocks my world, even since when I was in JSS in Naija.

If Kosibah rocks I can't see it here. I even went his website... I thought the wedding dresses were "ok" or on par as far as the collection, but only 1 or 2 stood out and Vera Wang he is *not*.

The evening wear was better IMO, but I won't be going to tell it on the mountain. I'll keep an eye out though.

Thank you so much Bella for your feature on Kosibah Creations. The kind comments from your readers are very encouraging and much appreciated. Keep up the excellent blog.

Kosibah rocks men!!!
The clothes have definitely evolved from what they were five years ago...now, much more sophisticated and has more international appeal but the "it" factor that qualified it as Kosibah is still there.

lmao @ oma's outfit being 'hectic'!!! Erm, Bella, thou knows that I love thee, but erm if you yab Oma one too much, me her chief-fan will tear at you!!!!

Thought Omawumi and Timi were both good, but Timi's voice affected me. He connected with me emotionally. I love his voice. He is also a very different kind of performer. Omawumi, I feel, there are lots of performers like her in the world. Timi is unique.
