There has been another plane crash in Nigeria.
Today, an ADC plane leaving Abuja for Sokoto with over 100 people including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammadu Maccido, one of his sons, Senator Badamasi Maccido and his grandson crashed soon after take-off.
An entire family was wiped out as Senator Gandi, his mother, wife, three kids died in the crash.
One other family lost 4 children.
I don't even know what to say because I am shaking right now.
I am so angry. I believe the airline, aviation authorities etc.. should all be ashamed of themselves. Yes, air accidents happen but ours is becoming way too much. Many people were not even shocked. Is this the type of thing we should be getting used to? All reports indicate that rescue efforts were poor as usual. Its a damn shame.
Why? Again?
I really sympathise with the families and also those whose family members and friends were victims of all the previous air disasters because this will surely open some sore wounds and bring back some devastating memories.
May their souls rest in peace. Here is the Manifest.
Reports say there are 7 survivors including 3 daughters of the Kogi State governor. I thank God for their lives.
You can go to CNN or BBC for up to the minute details.

Inna lillahi Wa Inna ilaihi raji'un
I just saw it on the news. It is too sad.
Just blogged about it too. This is really getting out of hand. We should have a strike and stop flying till the govt does something right.
It's a tragedy that this happens so often in Nigeria and upon all the talk talk that Obasanjo has done about making sure air travel is safer, nothing is better. I know for a fact that no one is regulating anything! Maybe now that some prominent people have passed, they'll actually do something. But why should people have to die before anything is done?
May their soul rest in perfect peace. Really sad news.
A tradegy indeed! What happened to all the money intended for maintainance and occassional servicing?
Its sooo sad. I cant believe we haven't done something about it yet!!! My their souls rest in perfect peace. I watched on news when they showed the survivors. Most of them weren't even burnt...thank God. some were even sitting up and talking to the press. All these things happening is a sign.
I just read this in nigeria guardian website "Nigeria records 50 air mishaps in 81 years" (http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news/article07)!!! Is this suppose to be a world record or what??

Can u believe it the Kogi State gov. 3 daughters survived....Thank God
look beyond the headlines... consipracy is the author of confusion and the daughter of selfishness... Natural evil does not happen twice in a row unless there is a catalyst...
RIP Soul... Wait for the story to be told...
8 FLIGHT COMMANDMENT
1. Buy your ticket at the last minute
2. Ask for passenger's list, and see of any "top/popular Nigerian" is in it
3. If there is find a way to get back you ticket money or trek to you distination (it's safe, trust me)
4. If there are too many money bags in airplane you are boarding, find an excuse to leave.
5. Never fly with Wole Soyinka, Former Generals, Former this and that's... No one seem to like them good or bad.
6. Save your thank you prayer until you get off the plane.
7. Fly Virgin Nigeria or Aero Contractors.
8. Don't think this is funny or crap!
@ unnaked..You just spoke a mouthful. It Could it also be because Abuja is the hub of all these big wig activities? I really can't wrap my brain around it at all. Why is this happening?...Mysteries of life
RIP to those we have lost and a speedy recovery to those whose lives where spared.
